It is not easy to describe the journey of the two of us. I think it would be enough if it is said that we met, made commitment several months later and then decide to married. It is our commitment since the beginning that this relationship is not for having fun only, that we are agree to achieve our goal together and sail this ocean of life hand in hand. The story is not always smooth after all. There were tears and joy, there were fight and hug, there were feeling of lonely and passionate kiss.
After two years we were pretty sure to move one step forward so we talked to the parents and try to find a date. It wasn't that simple since both of us are from a big big family and J to Y is 600 miles away. And to make it more complex, we are chasing Syawal month which is believed in our religion that it is a perfect month to get married. By that time Syawal is less than a year ahead meaning that we must accelerate everything, anything. So we worked like hell. Booking the hall, design the card, find souvenir, arrange the agenda, contact the other family member and friends and ask how can they help us, in short: maximize all of our resources and networking. The closer we get to the date the busier we were. We double checked everything, make sure we didn't miss anything. Eight months of preparation was obviously an exhausted ones. Several days due to the D-day all family members from M landed in Y. It was a little sad after all that our great family in J and B could not join us. The distance was the problem. However it was great and smooth. We were pretty suprise to find out that many of our friends could join us even that mean that they have to travel 600 miles away just for two hours reception. Thank you to you all. And so history records that by the end of year 2004 we start a new chapter of our life. |
